VGP Foundation: Katra River Velley Biodiversity

Delighted to share the VGP Foundation article about the Katra River Valley biodiversity project, to be read in our latest Location3 magazine. The article highlights the process of wetlands restoration and promoting biodiversity by sustainable tourism at Paramélis Island, a biodiversity hotspot in southern Lithuania. Sustainable tourism plays a crucial role in raising public awareness and minimising human disturbance in valuable natural areas. The VGP Foundation donated €50,000, overseen by Germany’s NABU Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union, to support several initiatives.

These enhancements not only protect the delicate biodiversity but also provide nature lovers a chance to observe and appreciate the beauty of Paramėlis Island without causing harm.
