VGP welcomes two new tenants to VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City: Exyte Technology and Bosal Aftermarket Europe

Press Release

8 January 2024, Prague: VGP, the European developer and owner of semi-industrial and logistics real estate, has just handed over for two tenants’ use premises in Hall “A” of VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City. The first tenant is Exyte Technology, an expert in high-tech equipment and technology, which has leased almost 12,600 m2 of warehouse and office space. The second tenant is Bosal Aftermarket Europe, a leader in the development and production of catalytic converters and emission control systems for passenger cars and industrial applications. It has leased a total 10,210 m2 of production and warehouse space. The building was developed to BREEAM Very Good green certification.

VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City lies on a brownfield site near the city centre between the streets Sklářská, Tovární, and Kekulova at the site of the former glassworks. Its location close to end customers makes it particularly suitable for last-mile logistics. Moreover, the park is located just 2 km from the D8 motorway connecting Prague and Dresden. Ústí nad Labem has a long industrial tradition and can therefore be an ideal location for growing the businesses of logistics as well as industrial companies. Their expansion into the area will create dozens of jobs, which will also boost employment in the region.

Bosal, a company originally from the Netherlands, was founded in 1923. Since then, its record of significant growth has made the firm a major innovator in the automotive and energy industries. It currently operates 17 industrial sites, 12 distribution centres, and 7 research and development centres with a team of 2,500 employees worldwide. Its main products include emission control systems for passenger and commercial vehicles, roof carriers, towing devices, and other components for the automotive industry.

“We are pleased to have chosen a hall from VGP for our further expansion into new markets. We took over the modern hall on the agreed date without any issues, and its quality and ecological design fulfil our requirements,” comments Lukáš Končický, Plant Manager, Bosal Aftermarket Europe.

Exyte Technology, a company with a history spanning more than a century since its founding in 1912, has dominated its global market in the development, design, and supply of high-tech equipment. It focuses on clients operating in the semiconductor, battery cell, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and data centre industries. Within its new premises at VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City, Exyte Technology focuses on the production of modular units that include lightweight frame structures with prefabricated piping systems.

In total, three halls with at least BREEAM Very Good green certification are being built at VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City on an overall area of almost 11 hectares and with more than 52,000 m2 of leasable space. Hall A is now completed and fully occupied. Two more halls are in preparation and offer more than 29,000 m2 of leasable space from which more than 10,000 m2 is already pre-let. The park is just a 3-minute drive from the city centre and a 5-minute walk from the train station. Several public transport stops (buses and trolleybuses) are also close by.
