Technical Senior Project Manager
We are searching for an experienced construction professional to join our team for our existing and new projects to be developed in Split and Zagreb areas.
The location of the main office is in Zagreb but travelling is required to our industrial park in Split.
Job description:
- Oversee construction development activities and ensuring that VGP project in Split or Zagreb are done safely, on time, within budget and to the right quality standard.
- Assisting commercial activities.
- Understanding project requirements and working alongside construction manager to develop budgets and timelines.
- Responsible for projects construction budgets and cash flows
- Analyzing technical solutions and providing cost-effective suggestions (value engineering) for improvement.
- Streamlining processes so that development activities operate at maximum efficiency, with project running on schedule and in budget.
- Liasing with Clients and Commercial departments to analyze Client requirements and providing the best technical-economical solutions.
- Support the commercial team in front of clients regarding technical topics and delivery dates.
- Oversee VGP internal and external design activities for the project.
- Addressing performance issues and scheduling meetings when required.
- With the construction teams ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations.
- Keeping up to date with advancements in the field.
- Writing up reports and presenting findings to the relevant parties.
Administrative Task:
- Reporting to Operation Country Manager, Technical Director, COO and CTO of the group.
Requirements:
- University degree in architectural or civil engineering.
- Proven experience in managing large industrial and logistic projects.
- Good knowledge of local civil construction market.
- A high technical aptitude.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Team player with individual proactive approach and good communication skills.
- Strong self-management skills to ensure timely delivery of site activities.
- A growth mindset, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of Autocad
- Office Package and MS Project
- Driving licence
Best candidate should:
- Present a track record of successful projects as site manager and/or project manager,
- Have had previous/ current role of technical manager/ Project manager/ Senior project manager,
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams,
- Possess experience on large construction projects,
- Be well connected to the current market in what concerns possible subcontractors for the split work packages.
