Land Acquisition Manager, Denmark
As a Land Acquisition Manager at VGP Denmark, you will play a pivotal role in leading and driving our local planning processes and be responsible for managing relationships with relevant public authorities, external engineers, architects, and surveyors. The role requires strong strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and an in-depth understanding of local regulatory frameworks. The role will refer directly to the Country Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Land Acquisition & Negotiation: Identify and acquire suitable land for VGP developments, negotiating terms with municipalities and stakeholders.
- Planning & Permitting: Lead local planning and permitting processes to ensure compliance with national and municipal regulations.
- Public Sector Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for public authorities, municipalities, and government agencies.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external consultants, including engineers, architects, surveyors, and legal advisors.
- Project Coordination: Oversee due diligence processes, feasibility studies, and technical assessments in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet legal and environmental standards, working closely with legal teams and public bodies.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date on market trends, zoning laws, and policy changes affecting land acquisition and development opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should possess:
- Fluency in Danish and English
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban development, real estate planning.
- Strong knowledge of Danish land-use regulations, zoning laws, and permitting processes.
- Experience in negotiations with municipalities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with public authorities and external consultants.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex planning and permitting challenges.
- Experience working in logistics, industrial real estate, or large-scale development projects is an advantage.
