For VGP Croatia we are currently looking for a

Procurement Manager

General Purpose:

Manage all aspects of construction purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support VGP's organizational operations in Croatia.

Head office in Zagreb.

Main Tasks:

  • Preparing tender packages with the Project manager
  • Making and sending out tender RFQ including all attachments
  • Keeping contact with tenderers, answering their questions aligned with PM and keeping procurements schedule.
  • Tender evaluations, preparing comparison sheets compliance to project budgets and provide analysis of deviations.
  • Negotiation with tenderers together with Project Team and the Management
  • Issue purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for construction work.
  • Evaluate contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Meet subcontractors and suppliers (on/off-sites) as necessary and develop and maintain strategic relationships, partnerships, or frame agreement.
  • Purchase Status Report
  • Building up and upgrading unit price data base > feedback to CM/PM
  • Supporting Project Team with data for budget split up
  • Handle change order requests.
  • Participating in any technical support work at the company as superiors requires when there is no procurement running.

Education and Experience:

  • degree in technical construction engineering, materials management, operations management, business or related field
  • experience in purchasing and procurement
  • experience in construction field of activity,
  • experience with suppliers on construction and MEP for industrial field
  • supervisory experience of ongoing projects
  • working knowledge of project management principles and practices
  • working knowledge of laws and regulations relating to construction contracts
  • knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, principles of construction planning.
  • competency level in MS Office applications (especially Excel, MS Project)
